Punda Milias is a beautiful, boutique lodge located a stone’s throw away from Nakuru City, in between the great lakes of Nakuru and Elementaita, in Kenya’s infamous Great Rift Valley. Our lodge grounds are a tranquil, leafy-green oasis full of bird song where you’ll find the perfect weekend getaway from the busy streets of Nairobi, or have the perfect base to explore the natural wonders of Nakuru National Park and Soysambu Conservancy.

We offer a range of accommodation options depending on your budget. From a luxury villa, to beautifully designed cottages, as well as comfortable and cosy bandas and safari tents – we have you covered.

Our restaurant serves a wide range of delicious continental dishes using produce grown straight from our own shamba. There is also a fully stocked bar for you to enjoy drinks by our swimming pool or terraced dining area.

Being right on the edge of Soysambu conservancy, you’ll get to enjoy the real African bush experience and hear wild animals well into the night. One can easily organise game drives, cycling or hiking expeditions and overlanding safaris into Soysambu conservancy, Lake Nakuru National Park and beyond!

‘This place is a hidden gem! By far one of the best places I have stayed in Kenya so far. Very green area with lots of relaxing spots. Stayed at the Hippo cottage which was really spacious. An incredible shower and really nice bed. The food was great too. At the agreed time the table would be ready and the food as well. Swimming pool offers a really nice area but the private outside hottub was even better. Staff is also really nice and friendly. Its close to one of the Nakuru national park gates and at night you can hear many birds and animals.’

‘We had a great, one-night camping trip with Karuma and Bridget. We cycled from Punda Milias Nakuru Camp, through Soy Sambu Conservancy and camped on the edge of Lake Elementaita. The cycling was really fun and the views were spectacular. Karuma gave us lots of interesting information about the surrounding area as we cycled through groups of zebra, antelope and giraffe! The camping spot was beautiful - we could see zebra and the lake! The camping facilities were brilliant - there were comfy seats, a dining tent and comfy bedding. We visited the hot water pools by the lake before having a huge campfire in the evening. The food was prepared for us by George and Nico who were very friendly and made us feel at home! The next morning, we cycled back to Punda Milias Nakuru Camp, taking a different route and taking in some more fantastic scenery. We will definitely be arranging another trip soon! Lovely staff, excellent organisation, fantastic equipment - a great adventure!’

‘We found Punda Milias online as we were looking for a place to camp. It’s in a fantastic location and is really close to both Lake Nakuru NP and Soysambu. There are many different accommodation options depending on one’s budget. We stayed in the bandas as it was too wet to camp. The bandas are perfect! And the campsite and bathrooms are all very well set up with plenty of space. The lounge area is beautifully done. The staff here have been fantastic- so friendly and accommodating, from Cynthia to the guards to the grounds keepers. Everyone has been great! Thank you so much Punda Milias. We now know where to stay when we are next in Nakuru! Ps. The dogs and cat are adorable:)’
